Kilims

Kilims are colourful, robust woven carpets. With a kilim you can set wonderfully lively accents in your home.
They are traditionally handwoven and come mainly from Persia, Turkey and Central Asia. Handmade kilims are made of either cotton or sheep's wool as the main material. Originally, kilims were made by nomads for their own use. They served them as a blanket and as a decoration for their nomad tents. Kilims are very well suited for individual and creative modern as well as classic furnishings. Because of their different styles, patterns and colors, they are also becoming increasingly popular in the western world.
Because kilims are flat fabrics, we recommend placing non-slip carpet underlays between the floor and kilims. We would be happy to advise you.
